Carlene Holmes
began working in the Probate Office in 1998 and was elected as
Register of Probate in 1999. She has over twelve years’
experience as a legal secretary in Machias.
Carlene graduated
from the University of Kentucky in 1970 and obtained her
Master’s Degree in 1980. She taught high school French and
Spanish for fourteen years.
Carlene also serves
as a translator for Spanish and French speakers at the
Washington County Jail, Down East Community Hospital and the
District, Superior and Probate Courts.
