Focus Team
The mission of the Wellness Focus Team is to empower Washington
County residents to participate in a culture of healthy lifestyles.
We will achieve our mission through the establishment of policies
and environments that support and promote health, addressing basic
needs issues, and building an infrastructure that supports all
aspects of public health.

Working with all
Washington County: One Community action teams and board to
achieve healthier communities through the implementation of MAPP
(Mobilizing for Action through Planning and Partnerships)

Working through
business and chambers to establish and sustain worksite wellness
programs

Providing
information and resources to Washington County residents that
will reduce the number of parents that use tobacco around their
children and to help Washington County citizens quit tobacco

Establish
environments and promote activities that offer opportunities to
be physically active

Provide nutrition
information and resources to help citizens lead healthier lives

Collaborate with
social service agencies , not-for-profits, civic organizations
government and business owners to provide and promote local
opportunities for chronic disease self management

Collaborating with
local schools, universities, agencies and local citizens to
create social norms and environments that reduce the consumption
of underage drinking
